Initialization String Page

Click once inside the Box below, then type the first letter of your modem's manufacturer.
Scroll through to find the initialization string for your model modem.
To change the initialization string in Win95:

Click Start, Settings, Control Panel.
Double-click Modems.
Click Properties, Connection, Advanced.
Type the string in Extra Settings.

To change the init in Win3.x:

Start Trumpet
Click Dialer, Edit Scripts.
Double-click "login.cmd".
Scroll until you see:

$modemsetup = "&c1&k3"

Replace the string in quotes with the new string.
Do NOT preface the string with "AT".
Click File, Exit, Yes.
